Sky-Bound Ground is your entrance to the world of aviation. Because ground school is all we do, we can do it better than anyone. We don’t teach you to fly. We don’t push one flight school, or one airplane, over another - we just teach you to be safe in the air.
It’s not just about passing the test, or getting you into the air as quickly as possible. We believe you should be proficient in the basics before you fly.
We’ll teach you to understand the airplane inside and out, manage risk, plan, communicate, navigate correctly - all to help you fly safely.
The Sky-Bound Ground curriculum includes all of the FAA required knowledge areas, plus theoretical background, case studies, lessons learned, handouts, exercises and a heavy dose of common sense.
Our ground school is 36 hours long, plus homework and selected interactive on-line courses. We meet Sunday afternoons, 4 hours per week, for 9 weeks. (That’s 6-12 hours more in depth learning than most schools typically offer)
