The Pilot Training College of Ireland (PTC) is a JAR Flight Training Organisation (FTO) approved by the Irish Aviation Authority for the purpose of carrying out Commercial Pilot Training. PTC is an associate company of The Pilot Training College UK, located at Bournemouth Airport. It was established in 2002 by Mike Edgeworth and Captain Tony Kember to provide for the training needs of student pilots in Ireland and other JAA countries. Mike Edgeworth is an Irish entrepreneur and pilot. Tony Kember, in addition to an extensive aviation career, formerly held the position of United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority Chief Flight Examiner. The main training base for PTC is Waterford Regional Airport, where flight training benefits from weather and flying conditions which are probably the most favourable in Ireland. We also have an operational base at Weston Airport, Dublin.
