Australian Wings Academy (AWA) operates on the Gold Coast in sunny Queensland Australia. AWA offers pilot training suited for pilots who want a career in the airlines. Our Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) course and Diploma of Aviation (Command Instrument Rating Multi Engine) are specifically designed to get the student ready for the right hand seat of a transport aircraft. We teach multi crew techniques and use airline style check lists and call outs in every lesson.
Our course is fully integrated with theory and flying done together on a daily basis. We have a low student/instructor ratio. The benefit to students is that you are given personal attention and you can complete the course faster.
We have modern purpose built facilities and a fleet of late model Diamond and Cessna aircraft, many of which have glass LCD cockpits. We also offer selected students access to a Jet transition course which includes 80 hours of sim training and 25 hours in the right hand seat of a jet aircraft.
