American Air Flight Training, located at PDK Airport in Atlanta, is the premier school for students looking for thorough and safe training. Our instructor, Steve Shaner, has nearly 40 years of flight experience (over 30 years as an FAA Examiner). He personally conducts all training at the school.
American Air Flight Training’s immaculately-maintained fleet includes a 2005 Piper Archer III with Glass Cockpit, a 1998 American Champion Super Decathlon (Aerobatic Aircraft), and a 1993 Piper Warrior II.
We offer programs ranging from Private Pilot through Airline Transport Pilot, including Aerobatics, as well as Wheelchair Pilot Training. Practice Checkrides and FAA Checkrides are available through Steve as well.
Students who train at PDK, the second busiest airport in Georgia with 230,000 flight operations per year, will be comfortable flying in any airspace, controlled or otherwise.
