Academy College pilots train in both single and multi-engine aircraft. The combination of ground school and flight training in the single engine and multi-engine aircraft ensures that our pilots are prepared for successful careers with growing aviation companies throughout the United States. Academy College offers a structured, results-oriented curriculum. Courses conducted under FAR Part 141 FAA approved curriculum are delivered via Thunderbird Aviation, Inc., a regional flight school founded in 1962.
Academy College develops and continues relationships with local and national aviation associations, organizations, and companies. These relationships provide Academy College with important industry feedback on curriculum and industry trends.
Thunderbird Aviation Crystal is located at the Minneapolis/Crystal Airport in Crystal, MN. Future and current pilots will find this facility to host the single and multi-engine aircraft as well as provide services such as, pilot supplies available for sale, study areas, vending services, and a state-of-the art weather computer.
