Founded in 1999, CAE Global Academy Évora, S.A.– formerly known as Academia Aeronáutica de Évora, S.A. started proving ab initio pilot training in 2001 along with a wide range of modular courses all in accordance with JAA regulations. Today the centre also offers customized pilot training courses in accordance with foreign aviation regulations. CAE Global Academy Évora serves as a flying hub for some other academies that only offer ground school.
CAE Global Academy Évora is a founding member of the CAE Global Academy, a worldwide network of ab initio flight training organizations. CAE Global Academy is the largest network in the world with 11 flight academies on five continents. It owns a worldwide fleet of about 300 aircraft and can train approximately 1,800 pilot cadets per year.
