Illinois Aviation Academy, Inc. (IAA) was created in 1993 with nothing more than a passion for aviation. Preflight briefings were in lawn chairs near the trunk of a car, organized classes were held at Community Colleges, and flight training was performed in aircraft leased from other flight operators. Our slogan was and continues to be "IAA provides personalized training at an affordable price". The only asset of the company was a passion for aviation and a significant number of students that wanted to learn how to fly.
From those humble beginnings, IAA has grown significantly. IAA now provides complete corporate aviation services, financial aid services, aircraft maintenance, simulators, aircraft storage, aircraft sales and a four year degree. Soon IAA will be providing more internet based training, and entry into the charter business, and much more. This success is due to the hard work of dedicated instructors and employees with a preservation of ideals that this company was founded upon.

Our headquarters are located at DuPage Airport in West Chicago, IL, where we have the distinction of flight training within a challenging Class D tower controlled environment. Flight Courses and Certifications
 - Illinois Aviation Academy has training for all of your fixed wing licenses and ratings.
- IAA provides and intensive airline training program that takes you from student pilot to CFI or Commercial Multi Engine pilot in 10 months.
- IAA offers a fast paced 30 day CFI course taught by Instructors with more than 10 years experience teaching and a 100% pass rate.
- IAA offers glass cockpit transition training on both the Garmin 1000 and Avidyne avionics systems, available for Cirrus, Mooney and the complete line of Cessna
- IAA allows their students to build multi engine time with our crew resource management based training program
- IAA has experienced instructors capable of training for insurance check-outs in piston and turbine powered aircraft.
